The strategic oversight of Bishopsgate lies with the Board of Governors, which assumes responsibility for the school’s strategic direction and financial plans, whilst also appointing the Headmaster and ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations and legislation.
To foster effective governance, the full governing board convenes on a termly basis. Additionally, there are four subcommittees within the Board, each meeting termly as well. These subcommittees, namely Finance and General Purposes, Education, Buildings and Estates, and Health and Safety, provide focused attention to critical areas. Every governor serves on at least one of these committees, collectively contributing their expertise and efforts. All our governors serve on a voluntary basis, without any form of remuneration for their invaluable service.
Mr Christiian Marriott BA (Hons)

Christiian Marriott is a partner and Head of Investor Relations in a private equity firm. He graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a degree in French and History. Christiian is married with three children – all of whom thrived during their times as pupils at Bishopsgate. He is a keen sports enthusiast – with particular passions for cycling and skiing.
